A chain of short stories about their distance

 

That's the title of one of the best anime films I've ever seen.

It was directed by Makoto Shinkai and I think he did a very good job with it.

The film tells us the story of Takaki Tōno, and it's divided in 3 short episodes: Cherry blossom, Cosmonaut and 5 centimeters per second. The plot starts in 1990 (when he is a child) and ends in 2008. It's all about the distance that separates him from his first love, Akari Shinohara.

The story is very nice, but what  I really loved was the scenery, which is amazing (you can see some phots here), and the OST (by Tenmon) is also great.

Why that title?

5 cm per second is the speed at which sakura petals fall. Sakura trees are very important in this film.

OLIVIA Lufkin



She really has a style ♥



Watching NANA series I discovered a great singer called OLIVIA Lufkin. She is half American and half Japanese and sings both in English and Japanese. I love her music because she has a very varied collection of songs. If you want to know more about her you can have a look at her official webpage.

In the anime NANA she sings the songs of Trapnest as Reira. This is the CD where you can find all the songs that appear in the series. It's great, I recommend you to listen to it when you have some time.

OLIVIA has some albums, mini albums and singles. One of my favourites is The Cloudy Dreamer mini album. I love all the songs.
